What is Cirrhosis of Liver ?

Cirrhosis is a serious liver disease in which healthy liver tissue is gradually replaced by scar tissue. This scarring blocks normal blood flow and prevents the liver from working properly.

It usually develops after long-term liver damage caused by infections, alcohol use, or fatty liver disease.
